MegaPath Names Matthew Hutchinson Vice President of Channel Sales

New Channel Executive Brings More Than 20 Years of Tech Industry Sales and Marketing Expertise to Align Channel Program with Corporate Growth and Customer Success Goals

Pleasanton, Calif., August 15, 2013MegaPath Corporation, a leading provider of managed data, voice, security and hosted IT services in North America, today announced the appointment of Matthew Hutchinson as Vice President of Channel Sales. In this role, Hutchinson will oversee the strategic direction and day-to-day management of MegaPath's worldwide channel sales operations.

MegaPath’s multi-tiered Channel Partner Program has been developed with the goal of supporting customer success at its core. Hutchinson is tasked with ensuring that MegaPath’s channel sales program continues to grow while offering its partners abundant sales and technology resources to address their customers’ communications and networking challenges. As a keystone of the MegaPath Channel Partner Program, VARs, master agents, solution providers, and independent IP consultants can participate at a level tailored to their specific business model. Whether selling strategic or support solutions, the program gives partners the opportunity to meet their unique business needs and objectives. Hutchinson will work closely with MegaPath’s sales partners to further align its corporate objectives with those of the channel and bring new and innovative service offerings to their customers.

Hutchinson has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry, having most recently served as Director of Sales and Channel Marketing for 8x8. He has also held executive channel positions at Logitech, Hewlett Packard and HJN telecom in addition to a variety of other sales and marketing roles at Clarity, a Division of Plantronics Inc., Nortel, Lucent and CellularONE Boston.

Hutchinson holds a B.A. in International Relations from Syracuse University and an MBA from The University of New Mexico with a concentration in Technology Management. He resides in the bay area of Northern California.
