Talk Tech! MegaPath Launches Crowdsourcing Marketing Campaign

At MegaPath, we love our tech-speak. So we figured, “Why try to deny who we are? Why not embrace our inner (OK, inner and outer) State of Geekness?” Hence, the driving theme of our new marketing campaign was born.

Today, we are excited to launch a new MegaPath “crowdsourcing” marketing campaign to help kick-start the summer. With help from our own partners, we’re looking to create buzz by making the complex our business of providing the best data, voice and communication security services easy or, dare I say, fun.

We’re partnering with Zooppa (, the global network leader for user-generated video ads that often transform into viral sensations, to launch a contest in which we invite our channel partners to join the thousands of registered Zooppa users to come up with a great 60 second video promotion for MegaPath.

To keep it focused, here’s the simple conceptual premise we ask contestants to follow: It must include techie folks speaking in classic industry jargon. That’s it. The “rest of the story,” as they say, is up to you.

So if you’re comfortable tossing around terms like “Multi-Protocol Label Switching” and “System Log Management” as if tech jargon is your native tongue, then we want to hear from you.

The winning video could be about techies arguing different points, trying to convince a boss about an obscure point, or it could just be techies waxing poetic about their IT muses. There is a lot of room for humor in this one, and we anticipate seeing some hilarious interpretations.

Check out this great sample submission from a recent 3M Zoopa campaign:

We know you may ask, “Why?”

MegaPath has invested heavily in network, voice and security services that are second to none. Our partners and customers know us best and we welcome the opportunity for them to help tell why they use MegaPath for their data, voice and security services needs.

And, yes, it is a contest. $30,000 of prize money will be awarded to contest entrants. And we’ll also feature many of the submitted videos at

We’re looking forward to working with Zooppa because its track record is outstanding: The site’s community members – video producers and other creative types – develop great, promotional ads for leading brands. Microsoft, Amazon, Sun Microsystems and Google and even the folks who make Nikes, Crocs, Johnsonville brats, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheez Whiz and KitKat bars have built great brand recognition and online buzz by tapping into Zooppa’s user-talent pool. Want to join this party? Then submit your best 60-seconds worth of techie-talk loaded video genius. We can’t wait to check it out.

Question of the week: What’s your favorite “tech-speak” term?
