- What is Spam Tracker service and how is it set up?
Spam Tracker is a network-based service that is a part of MegaPath’s Managed Security Service. Spam Tracker identifies spam from well known spammers and works with your email client to send all incoming spam to the bulk email box. The Spam Tracker service tags spam in the email header and works with your email client to route spam to the bulk email box.
Spam Tracker is a service that is installed on a circuit. The service is not installed on an e-mail server or a desktop or laptop computer. The service scans e-mail traffic (SMTP, POP, and IMAP).
Once your Spam Tracker service is up and running, you have two options to setup your email client to work with the service: Access MegaPath's Spam Tracker Configuration Guide here. Or Call inot the MegaPath Support Line for assistance in setting your email client. - What is circuit-based MSS?
Circuit-based MSS provides customers with protection at the edge of their networks without requiring any additional equipment. By protecting the customer traffic prior to the last mile, MegaPath circuit-based MSS not only protects your LAN resources from threats, but also preserves last-mile connectivity from malicious traffic that can interrupt communications. The result is a secure internet connection with high availability.
All of the elements of circuit-based MSS are discussed in detail in the Security section. - How is circuit-based MSS set up?

For each Whitelist / Blacklist rule you must specify a URL, Action and Sort Order.
URL
Specify the website, domain, or sub-domain you wish to specifically allow or block. Protocol prefixes are acceptable but ignored.
www.yahoo.com only affects the host www on the yahoo.com domain.
yahoo.com affects all hosts and sub-domains within the yahoo.com domain (www.yahoo.com, www1.yahoo.com, www2.yahoo.com, etc.)
Action
Select whether to allow or block access to the specified URL.
Sort Order
Enter a numeric value in the sort order field. Whitelist / Blacklist URLs are read and enforced in ascending sort order, so a rule with sort order 1 will be read and enforced prior to a rule with sort order 2.
Setting up a Blacklist or a Whitelist
By default, all browsing is allowed. Therefore, this is a “blacklist” by default. To use this list as a “blacklist”, specify specific URLs to disallow.Alternatively, you can setup a Whitelist, in which all browser activity is blocked except those listed here.
To do this:
Insert the keyword “all” in the URL field. Choose the “Block” action type. Assign it a very high sort order (such as 9999). Finally, create the list of allowed URLs with a lower sort order number. - How do I configure my MegaPath security services firewall in my Customer Portal?
