MegaPath Celebrates 10 Years of MPLS

Leading Managed Services Provider Marks Milestone by Recognizing Two Network Traffic Experts

COSTA MESA, CA, August 23, 2010 - MegaPath Inc., the leading provider of managed IP data, voice and security services in North America, today announced the company is celebrating 10 years of offering MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) services. Since 2000, MegaPath has leveraged its all-optical MPLS nationwide network to deliver communications services to its distributed enterprise users across 19,000 customer sites and 70,000 endpoints.

"Over the years, we've continually added capabilities to our services so customers have the most comprehensive MPLS network available," said Beth Tyebjee, SVP of Products and Project Management, MegaPath. "Engineered to outperform other MPLS networks, our nationwide private network provides customers with confidence that their business-critical applications are receiving priority over other traffic. We have 10 successful years behind us, and are continuing to push the envelope in providing the highest quality services."

MegaPath's MPLS services enable businesses to consolidate all of their applications onto a single, private network with up to five Classes of Services (CoS), and built-in security that supports all of their communications, access and information sharing needs. Over the last year, MegaPath has continued its leadership by delivering the latest MPLS-based services including DuetSM + MPLS and Managed Security Services (MSS) and DuetSM Hosted.

Illustrating employee dedication to customer service, MegaPath is honoring two network traffic experts, Nick Uddin and Ramon San Luis, who helped launch the company's MPLS service. During their time with the Company, both have provided leadership in network design and operations to ensure customers realize the full benefits from their MPLS services. In addition, both Uddin and San Luis are celebrating 10 year anniversaries for maintaining their Cisco CCIE certifications, which recognize individuals around the world for their network engineering skills and mastery of Cisco products and solutions.

Bob Gault, vice president of Cisco's Service Provider Channels, noted, "Cisco is very pleased to recognize the 10-year milestone that MegaPath has reached in running its MPLS network and providing Cisco powered solutions. We extend congratulations to Nick Uddin and Ramon San Luis on their 10-year CCIE certification anniversaries. These are significant experience investments MegaPath has made for its customers." Gault commented further, "Coupled with its Cisco Master Managed Services Provider achievement, MegaPath continues to demonstrate its commitment to being a successful partner with Cisco and to providing the level of expertise that matters to customers."

On Wednesday, August 25, MegaPath and Cisco will co-present "Big Network Dreams on Small Budgets" during a MPLS University session from 10 - 11 a.m. PT. This session will provide new views on putting SMB networks to work, and is open to IT professionals in Small and Mid-Size Business, Cisco SMB partners, MegaPath partners, and those interested in becoming a partner.
