MegaPath Increases the Flexibility of its Hosted Voice Solution with New, Faster Deployment Option

MegaPath Guarantees New Self-Installation Offering with Industry-First Install SLA

Pleasanton, Calif. – August 27, 2014 – MegaPath Corporation, one of the leading providers of managed voice, data, security and cloud services in North America, today announced a new deployment option for its Hosted Voice solution, making it easier for organizations to implement voice services quickly. Customers purchasing MegaPath Hosted Voice “over-the-top” – over an Internet connection not provided by MegaPath – can now opt to perform a Self-Installation which is backed by an industry-first 7-Day Service Level Agreement (SLA).

With the Self-Installation service, organizations use their own onsite resources to deploy Hosted Voice at their locations and can be up and running with phones within a week. In addition, MegaPath provides system configuration and design, order management, and customized user and administrator training. MegaPath is the first service provider to offer an installation service backed by a 7-Day SLA that includes real service credits up to 50 percent off the first month’s recurring cost for the affected service. MegaPath also offers Professional Installation services for customers that prefer a fully-managed implementation with dedicated account management and phone installations performed by an onsite MegaPath technician.

MegaPath enables customers to deploy Hosted Voice in two ways: where MegaPath provides the voice service “over-the-top” of a customer’s existing third-party broadband connection, or where MegaPath provides a fully-integrated and managed voice and broadband solution. The standalone voice option allows customers to leverage their current broadband service and provides customers with everything they require to operate their voice service, including a wide selection of IP phones. With the fully-integrated voice and broadband offering, MegaPath delivers the Internet access and controls voice and other data traffic on its privately-owned, nationwide IP data network, enabling the company to prioritize voice traffic end-to-end in order to guarantee Quality of Service (QoS) in a manner not possible when Hosted Voice is delivered over-the-top of an unmanaged third-party broadband connection.

MegaPath Hosted Voice supports more than 50 calling features, including Find Me/Follow Me, Visual Voicemail, Conferencing and Call Recording. In addition, MegaPath recently added new Unified Communications capabilities for Hosted Voice that integrate voice telephony with other communication technologies such as Instant Messaging, Presence, Screen Share, SMS Text and HD Video Calling. The Unified Communications functionality is available via desktop, mobile and tablet softphone clients for all major OS platforms, enabling users to leverage any of their devices for a full-featured telephony experience.
