The contest will award a total of $30,000 for the winning 60-second videos that feature people using obscure IT jargon to discuss the finer points of communications technology.

Contestants are encouraged to submit videos now through August 12, featuring people arguing different IT points of view, trying to convince a boss about an obscure point, or various other ways techies waxing poetically about their high-tech muses. To help with the complexity of the language that could be used, an IT jargon dictionary is available on the contest website.
In addition to the video contest, there is a separate Jargon Contest for IT Professionals and MegaPath partners. IT Professionals and consultants can enter their favorite tech term via Twitter or place their comment on the Jargon Dictionary page for a chance to win $500.
